The Hollywood Palladium must have been a fun place

Most unfortunate we only get the tail end of Bertha - better than nothing I s'pose

I live about two miles from the Palladium: it's a nice little place, recently completely refurbished. I saw David Bowie there once in the 90's on that weird art crime tour. Dylan's playing there next month but so far it is impossible to find tickets.

This is one of those incredible interstellar Playin's. Love the james in it. Great recommendation to get me through the workday.

As long as we're on the subject of '72 and this venue, might as well throw in the previous night. For those who can appreciate a good old school audience tape, this is pretty much as good as '72 gets (well, along with 4/26, anyway, but the crowd here is a lot more animated than the Germans)

Thanks - I will have to check out the zeb. I listened to some of the SBD and second part of the Sirmick yesterday - most definitely a good show and great AUD for the time period.

well, as always I'm way behind you guys. just getting through this one - here's my ?;

don't I hear the same sound (no idea who/what - meaning who's instrument, melody,phrase,etc.. - cause I don't understand any of that stuff - just the MUSIC) during the first 1/2 of Sing Me Back Home that I hear in Black Muddy River (especially during the "night will last forever" vs)??

I don't want to spark any more of the same old debates around here, but I don't know how anybody can listen to this DS + SMBH (even WITH Donna chiming in), then try to compare the 70"s with any other decade.

Yeah - the early 70s stuff never fails to impress!! Just got done with 9/11/73 and it is sweet and sublime

Now I'll be checking the '74 rec from above - only wish it were available in AUD
